FAQ

Before you book.

When should I schedule the three sessions?

Session 1 should occur before interview season. Session 2 follows after you have had time to prepare. Session 3 is intentionally saved until after you have completed some real interviews so the final session can address what you are actually encountering.

Do you guarantee that I will match?

No. No ethical interview-preparation service can guarantee interviews, ranking, or residency placement. MatchRounds provides educational coaching and individualized feedback only.

Will you help me hide a red flag?

No. We can work on discussing difficult or sensitive parts of an application honestly, professionally, and with appropriate context, but not on concealing or misrepresenting information.

Will you write my application or personal statement?

No. Applicants remain responsible for their own application materials. Sessions may discuss how experiences are communicated, but MatchRounds does not create application content on an applicant's behalf.

Is MatchRounds only for Emergency Medicine?

The initial MatchRounds program is specifically designed for Emergency Medicine applicants. Additional specialties and career-development services may be added in the future.

Is MatchRounds affiliated with ERAS, NRMP, a hospital, or a residency program?

No. MatchRounds is an independent educational coaching service and is not affiliated with ERAS, AAMC, NRMP, any residency program, hospital, medical school, or accrediting organization.
